i really thought that these would be a constant light, but they are sporatic at best, and rarely make conenctions needs to light up.
My pack came with drained batteries -- bummer!Once I got these juiced up, they worked well. They turn on when the wheel is spinning -- no need to turn them on and off.Of course that means that you'll waste some battery during the daytime, but you can always buy the other kind that are manual on/off.
These valve caps are really nice looking, and a good way to put a subtle touch-up on your ride (as long as it's a Cadillac).They feel expensive, not cheap, and look it too.The logo on the top of the cap is bigger than you might expect, and visible from a good distance when the car is stopped.They also shine nicely in the sun, and fit very tightly to the tire valve.
Its a valve stem cap.Looks nice.Replaced the ridiculous tire pressure caps Nissan uses.It is plastic however.Does it really matter?
These are a great accent for my Chevy's.I buy these for all of my cars.
I bought these just under three months ago and one of the logos fell off.I tried the company website...no longer up.I tried the phone number...nolonger in service.
I tried these tire gauges, but one or two of them leaked and left me with a low tire.I was not happy.I took them off my new car after a few weeks!
Unless you know a lot about cars, these wheel covers will replace your original Toyota covers and no one will know the difference.Worth the savings compared to the actual thing.
Nice concept, but I prefer the flashing light on the LED Tire Alert Self-Calibrating Tire Pressure Valve Caps offered in a different listing.It's easy to miss the red tab on this product, but the flashing light is easy to see on the other product.
If you have low pressure tires you have to have one of these. The product description is a little dumb as the vehicles with these type tires aren't usually worried about mileage or treadwear, just their safety. Improperly inflated tires on an ATV is a hazard.
According to the other reviewer, these valve covers are made of plastic. That solves a problem for me and I'll buy them. Recent Porsches have TPMS, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Steel valve caps interfere with transmissions from the pressure sensor in the wheel, so the owner's manual warns explicitly against their use. Plastic caps will do just fine.
These state that they are brass, but when you handle them, they feel VERY light and very cheap. They feel much more like pastic which I think is what they are. They don't look all that great on either. A little guady. Don't waste your money.
The product was received as represented; however, they do not currently work on the tires due to the current wheelcovers.This is no fault of the seller.Problem will be resolved once new wheelcovers have been purchased.
I have had my unit for over six months and the batteries are still very strong.
I ride my Townie bike everyday, love it... but with the time change it is hard to ride at night in fear of not being seen. I purchased these lights and put them on the valve stem and it creates a unique pattern and an eye catcher...This is the worst valve cap I ever bought. I been buying different type of LED valve cap on Ebay and Amazon and this is by far the WORST quality. The whole thing is made from cheap plastic. The light sensor DOES NOT work. The battery runs out in less than a week. The clear plastic covering the top came out the first day I used it. The whole thing is huge compared to other valve cap LED. The LED is very dull with the 2 default battery.
The only problem i can see with this caps is it's tendency to be stolen, otherwise, looks great and are very well made.
Pros:
We bought several of these for our fleet and they seem to work well.Just make sure that the tires are properly inflated before installation or they are useless. We are estimating 2-3% gas savings as well as better road safety due to properly inflated tired.
Great valve stem covers.They are well made and without a blemish, and have an internal gasket to ensure you don't spring a leak if your valve core fails. They really dress up your wheels to boot.
I bought these because the tire caps that came with my new car were stolen and the replacement price from the dealer was ridiculous.These look decent if you just need the aluminum look because the chrome is a little over the top for your wheels.
These valve caps work quite well. I bought them for my civic because I never really check my tire pressure. But now that I have these caps, I can just glance over and know if my tire pressure is ok or not. Furthermore, what i really love about this product is the fact that you can check and fill your tire through the cap! So now I don't have to get my hands dirty from removing the cap.
